NEW DELHI: Railways suspended two officials Thursday over the derailment of the New Farakka Express, senior officials said.

The officials said that the signal inspector and the electrical signal maintainer were suspended to facilitate the probe.

The ADG said that the reason for derailment will be known after an Anti-Terrorism Squad is sent for an on-the-spot probe.


Drones & long-range cameras are being used to monitor the situation at the site of New Farakka Express Train derailment.


A team of doctors in an Accident Relief Medical Van has been rushed to the site in Lucknow and emergency helpline numbers have been set up at the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya junction, Mughalsarai.
