AHMEDABAD: A 52-year-old man on Thursday filed a complaint with Gandhinagar police, alleging that his unemployed son attacked him with a brick when he asked him to find a job to earn a livelihood.

The complainant, Ramanji Thakor, a resident of Randheja Krushnagar village in Gandhinagar, stated before Pethapur police that his son,Sureshji, aged around 30, attacked him late on Wednesday night and abused him as his advice to begin looking for a job did not go well to him.

“As he does not work and gets into quarrels with family members, I told him to find a job. He began abusing me and beating me. When I tried to counter him, he got a brick and hit me on my forehead and face,” stated the complainant.

This caused injuries and severe bleeding to Thakor, who fell unconscious, Neighbours took him to Gandhinagar Civil Hospital. Pethapur police booked Sureshji Thakor for attacking, causing hurt, and criminally intimidating his father.
