Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Padmavati’ is one of the much-awaited movies of Bollywood. The team released the movie poster yesterday and Rani Padmini’s look on the special occasion of Navratri. Fans all over-the-world have been waiting for this movie and the posters have got everyone hooked.

The lead cast of the movie Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor posted the logo of the movie yesterday on their social media accounts. Today, they released the first look of ‘Padmavati’ early morning. Deepika Padukone shared her look with a caption in hindi, ”Devi stapna ke shubh avsar par miliye Rani Padmavati se! (On the auspicious occasion of Navratri, meet Queen Padmavati).”

Deepika is essaying the role of ‘Rani Padmini of Chittor’ and her look isn’t disappointing at all. She is dressed in Rajasthani finery and she is truly a sight to behold. Decked up with heavy traditional jewellery, she is seen joining hands in of the posters. The odhni of the outfit has been styled in the traditional way, which is still prevalent in the Mewar belt of Rajasthan.

Rani Padmini was known as a symbol of beauty, courage and the ultimate sacrifice. Deepika truly justifies her persona, where she looks beautiful yet fierce. Her look is simple and natural where is seen wearing a small bindi and is also sporting a unibrow.

Her jaw-dropping look was created by Delhi-based designers Rimple and Harpreet Narula. The main motif of lehenga was created using traditional zardozi. Architectural details of Rajasthani palace windows and jharokhas can be seen on the border of the lehenga.

The designers went through intensive research studying old textiles many visits to Jaipur and Calico museums to rightly capture the styling of the lead cast. Looking at Deepika’s look, we can’t wait to see Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor’s look in the movie.
