LUCKNOW: Miscreants attempted to derail a long-distance train in Unnao district on the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday. Heading from Kanpur to Lucknow, train number 15708 (Amrapali Express) had negotiated the bridge over Ganga river in the wee hours. The driver spotted some metallic objects on the railway tracks and pressed emergency brake around 1.30am.
