Xiaomi pledges 15 crore to relief fund


New Delhi: Smartphone company Xiaomi India, on Tuesday, pledged a contribution of Rs 15 crore to struggle in opposition to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Xiaomi will donate INR 10 crores to the honorable PM’s reduction finances and CM’s reduction finances throughout various states,” Xiaomi Global VP and India MD Manu Kumar Jain said in a statement.

The company will proceed to donate lakhs of face masks and protective suits to hospitals throughout States.

“We have partnered with Give India on Mi.com to raise INR 1 crore to make available hygiene kits for 20,000 households who don’t have get admission to to soaps, sanitizers and masks.”

Along with the contribution of Mi Fans, partners, NGOs and 1000+ Xiaomi workers, the company targets to donate INR 15 crore to help the nation.

Rival brand Oppo had final week announced an aggregate contribution of Rs 1 crore to PM and CM reduction finances.
