Unseasonal rains have caused serious injury to the standing crops throughout Telangana. Several tonnes of harvested paddy and maize, delivered to executive established paddy procurement centres, had been also destroyed by means of the rains on Saturday and Sunday. A scarcity of tarpaulin covers and gunny baggage has only aggravated the issue.
