Infosys sacks employee who encouraged others to spread coronavirus on social media


Infosys on Friday mentioned it has sacked an employee who has shared a social media put up that sought to promote spreading the coronavirus.

"We believe that this is not a case of mistaken identity," Infosys mentioned on its legit Twitter take care of.

"The social media post by the employee is against Infosys’ code of conduct and its commitment to responsible social sharing. Infosys has a zero tolerance policy towards such acts and has accordingly, terminated the services of the employee," it mentioned.

On Thursday, there used to be social media outrage after the worker, a senior architect at Infosys, had put a put up that promoted spreading the virus. Infosys had mentioned it had begun a probe.

The Bengaluru police has also lodged an FIR accusing him of creating alarm and fear a number of the public.
