Grateful to BFI and Ajay Singh for helping me, says ailing boxer Dingko

NEW DELHI: Asian Games gold-medallist boxer Dingko Singh, who has been in poor health with liver cancer, expressed his gratitude for the entire assist extended by the Boxing Federation of India (BFI) and president Ajay Singh for bringing him all the way down to Delhi from Manipur for his treatment.

Dingko used to be airlifted from Imphal to the nationwide capital for his liver cancer treatment on Saturday.

Appreciating BFI and its president's efforts, Dingko expressed his emotions from the health center mattress in a video message,"I sought after to come to Delhi for the treatment however could not because of the lockdown. I went into melancholy since I could not come (from) time-to-time each time doctors asked me to come down.”
