'Assam, West Bengal tea gardens staring at 22% revenue loss'


With tea gardens locked down and plucking suspended, Tea Board of India stated that the business in Assam and West Bengal will undergo income losses to the music of round 22%. According to the board's estimates, whilst West Bengal - where Darjeeling is the primary the hub of tea manufacturing - will undergo 30% loss of income loss and 15% in volume, Assam will witness a 15% loss of income and 12% loss of volume.
