MUMBAI: Under flak for scrapping internal evaluation marks for class 10 students, which used to be mentioned to be the main reason behind a dip in SSC move share this 12 months, the Maharashtra govt Tuesday introduced that it might augment the number of overall seats for class 11 admissions.

The transfer will supply a level-playing box for the students of the state SSC board, and build up chance for them to protected admissions in their schools of choice.

The SSC students are combating higher cut-offs for admission in FYJC (first 12 months junior College) as they're facing festival from the students of ISCE and CBSE boards whose ratings included internal evaluation marks.

Newly-appointed School Education Minister Ashish Shelar instructed the Legislative Assembly that the number of seats for science flow in Mumabi will be larger through 5 according to cent and eight according to cent for Arts and Commerce flow.

In Nagpur and Pune divisions, the number of seats will go up through ten according to cent in all streams--Arts, Commerce and Science.

Shelar mentioned the verdict has been taken in the view of resentment over scrapping of the internal evaluation marks for the SSC board students.
