The name ‘Archie’ evoked all kinds of reactions from the British electorate (even the typical public worldwide) and now not all of them were certain. As anticipated, social media went into a tizzy with the American-touch given to the name and memes/jokes began churning out in no time.

Apparently, a big sect of the racist society used to be now not ok with the ‘American-feel’ given to the blue-blooded child. The jibes were reputedly taken on the former Suits actress who used to be also criticised for bringing within the American affect to the British royal international.

What does the name Archie imply?

Archie means “bold”, “authentic” or “brave.” Interestingly the royal baby’s center name “Harrison” means “son of Harry," which is a brilliant have compatibility, given Archie's father Prince Harry. Archie has initially been a nickname for the German name Archibald.

When Harry and Meghan introduced the name in their two-day-old baby on May eighth, many also speculated that the number of name might have one thing to do with Harry's five-year-old nephew Prince George whose nickname may be 'Archie'.

Apparently, the five-year-old Prince printed his nickname to a passerby lady who used to be walking her dog. George began petting her dog and this is when the girl asked him about his name, just to initiate small talk. To the girl’s wonder, the Prince, who's third in line to the throne, mentioned his name used to be Archie.

The bottom line

So did the brand new parents actually name their first born after Prince George’s nickname? Since Harry and Meghan selected a simple name which isn't exactly a royal, it could imply that the couple hopes and objectives for a more effective lifestyles for their children.

While best the royal couple can actually answer these speculations, this gesture surely seems like a loving tribute to the Five-year-old Prince George!
