Russia, eyeing Arctic future, launches nuclear icebreaker


Russia launched a nuclear-powered icebreaker on May 25, a part of an ambitious programme to resume and make bigger its fleet of the vessels with the intention to fortify its skill to tap the Arctic's industrial potential. The send, dubbed the Ural and which was once floated out from a dockyard in St Petersburg, is one among a trio that after finished will be the largest and maximum robust icebreakers on the earth.
