'It was like a zoo': Death on an unruly, overcrowded Mount Everest


This has been some of the deadliest mountaineering seasons on Everest, with a minimum of 10 deaths, some of which were avoidable. The problem hasn't been avalanches, blizzards or top winds. Veteran climbers blame the presence of too many green climbers. Nepal has no strict laws about who can climb Everest, and veteran climbers say that may be a recipe for crisis.
