US Consulate General to promote entrepreneurship in city colleges


Ranchi: 30 entrepreneurs from town schools can have a possibility at receiving training in pitching and components of a business style from a startup concept below the ‘Catch Them Young: Promoting Business As A Career Choice’ initiative introduced through US Consulate General, Kolkata in affiliation with Atal Bihari Vajpayee Innovation Lab (ABVIL).

Talking to TOI, Jay Treloar, American middle deputy director, stated, “We have established campus ambassadors in primary universities and better education establishments of Ranchi with the preliminary purpose being to create pleasure about entrepreneurship among the kids. Once this system is in form, we will then make a choice 30 from amongst them showing the most possible and hone their abilities.”


The Nexus Startup Hub on the American Center in New Delhi will then guide the chosen younger entrepreneurs. Along with entrepreneurship, the United States Consulate General has also been using a mix of sports activities and humanities to promote awareness with a focus to create on gender equality in Jharkhand. On Monday, Treolar and his staff also visited Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya in Khunti to meet girls who're part of their English language program which uses communicative English as a tool for empowering rural girls.
