Rs 22 crore cash seized since March 10 in T'gana


HYDERABAD: Telangana police have seized Rs 22.66 crore money around the state since March 10, when the fashion code of habits got here into force. Associates of three outstanding political leaders have also been stuck with money, which police says used to be being transported to bribe voters. Since Thursday, a total of Rs 4.17 crore has been seized.


In Hyderabad commissionerate limits, Rs 9.45 crore used to be seized on Thursday, together with RS three.29 crore from a jewellery businessman in Banjara Hills. Names of 2 most sensible Telangana Congress leaders also surfaced, with the exception of TDP Rajahmundry MP Murali Mohan. However, he denied the fees, pronouncing it is completed by combatants.


Police believes that transportation of cash is prone to build up in the next few days and is focussing on Vikarabad, Malkajgiri and Secunderabad.


In reference to Rs three.29 crore seized in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad police commissioner Anjani Kumar said they are verifying the trail of the money and its function in the election process. “Based on a tip-off, police organised checks and so they got here across one Chandrakanth, who used to be riding a twowheeler, and seized Rs 1 crore from him. Later, based on the ideas given by him, further Rs 2.29 crore used to be seized from one Anil Kumar,” he said.


On Wednesday, a relative of a outstanding leader used to be stuck by the Task Force police while he used to be transporting Rs 48 lakh.
