Punjab: 5 nabbed for Rs 3.60-lakh fake robbery

PATIALA: The police on Tuesday have arrested 5 accused, including the more youthful brother of the complainant, for committing a dramatic robbery of Rs 3.60 lakh. The cash used to be snatched from two males, including the complainant’s brother, on Monday whilst they have been driving their motorbike towards a financial institution to get it deposited.

However, when the police investigated the topic and nabbed two accused with the assistance of CCTV cameras, the police discovered that robbery used to be fake and deliberate by the complainant’s younger brother known as Amandeep Singh.

The complainant, known as Kuldip Singh of Amloh in Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab, ran an place of job of ‘Money-Transfer’ in Amloh and had given Rs 2 lakh loan quantity to his younger brother a few months back. The police stated that when an extended search operation, two snatchers have been arrested and known as Gurdeep Singh, a driver, and an unemployed Gurvir Singh.

SP (Detective) Harpal Singh, stated, “Both the accused got here on a bullet bike and robbed off Amandeep and his good friend Ravinder Shah. However, the accused during interrogation revealed that it used to be a robbery deliberate by the alleged victim in the case. We inquired and located that Amandeep who's the more youthful brother of complainant Kuldip Singh had borrowed Rs 2 lakh from Kuldip a few months back. Amandeep, who runs his telecom shopm, went to his good friend Jaspreet Singh who also runs telecom shop to get some solution as he did not wish to pay off the loan to his brother Kuldip. The accused Jaspreet and Amandeep deliberate a faux robbery. Amandeep, as part of the routine, had long gone to deposit in the ICICI Bank an quantity of Rs 3.6 lakh given by his elder brother but on the method Gurdip and Gurvir robbed him close to Sugar Mill.”

The case used to be cracked by Amloh DSP Gursher Singh and SHO Mohinder Singh. They revealed that all the 5 accused including Amandeep Singh, Ravinder Shah, Jaspreet Singh, Gurdip Singh and Gurvir Singh have been nabbed below sections 392 (robbery), 379-B (snatching by using pressure) 323 (voluntary inflicting harm), 324, 341, 506 (criminal intimidation), and 34 IPC on criticism of Kuldip Singh, who runs a cash switch place of job in Amloh.
