Prevent distribution of money to voters: AIADMK

CHENNAI: The Election Commission on Wednesday received representations and petitions from various national and state recognised parties on maintaining the Lok Sabha elections and byelections in 18 assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu. The elections and byelections will be held within the state on April 18.

Election commissioners Ashok Lavasa and Sushil Chandra, met representatives of parties here. Though leader election commissioner Sunil Arora was once to lead the EC staff, he sponsored out at the ultimate second.

The AIADMK sought after the EC to disqualify the DMK candidate in Vellore, Karthir Anand, if it was once proved that cash seized from some premises a couple of days in the past belonged to him. The birthday party sought after the EC to stop cash distribution to citizens.

The DMK and its allies sought after the EC to carry byelections in four extra vacant assembly constituencies.

The BJP sought after extra security to its applicants as birthday party’s candidate in Ramanathapuram was once attacked. An AIADMK cadre was once injured within the attack.

The Congress sought after leader electoral officer Satyabrata Sahoo to answer the calls made via opposition parties. A Congress consultant told the EC staff that he had made 100 calls and no longer even one have been spoke back via the CEO. Sahoo was once present all over EC’s meeting with representatives of parties.
