Noida: 60-year-old landlord booked for raping minors


NOIDA: A 60-year-old landlord was booked on Friday for allegedly raping two minors – elderly seven and five – of their jhuggi in Sector 9.


Chandrika alias Kabadi, who remains near the jhuggi, would reportedly pass to the minors’ area within the absence in their parents and contact them inappropriately, according to a kid rights NGO FXB-Suraksha-Childline. The NGO said that the sisters complained of sexual abuse to their parents, who work as labourers in a personal corporate.


“The girls had shared their ordeal with the parents, who then went to the Sector 20 police station,” FXB Suraksha-Childline manager Satya Prakash told TOI. He also alleged that there was an try to arrive at a compromise as the parents had been offered a loose stay within the jhuggi for three-and-a-half years.


The subject got here to light on April 1, when its counsellors spoke to the youngsters. “The neighbours had also noticed Chandrika pass to the ladies’ room,” Prakash added.


The NGO on Thursday produced the youngsters prior to the CWC. An FIR was registered towards Chandrika on Thursday night below IPC Section 376 (rape) and sections 5 and six of the POCSO Act. Meanwhile, the SHO of Sector 20 denied allegations of a compromise between the two parties. He said that Chandrika has now not been arrested yet.
