Natrajan hits out at BJP candidate


As Coimbatore CPM candidate PR Natrajan campaigned throughout the narrow streets of Puliyakulam, K Chellama, 60, a day-to-day salary labourer, stopped her paintings and joined the marketing campaign. Struggling to cope up with others, she strode forward in spite of having difficulties in walking. “I have been working with the party for decades now. While canvassing for votes on the final day of campaigning on Tuesday, Natrajan hit out at BJP candidate CP Radhakrishnan for his contradictory statements on Goods and Service Tax(GST)

Natrajan mentioned, “It is the same candidate who had earlier promised to reduce the GST for job orders from 18% to five% and now he's pronouncing that no damage is done by means of GST. His statements are extremely contradictory. In Coimbatore on my own, over 50,000 MSMEs are affected because of GST.”


Reiterating the affect of demonetization and GST on the common folks, he sought the general public to vote for him to bring an finish to the BJP executive.


Later, he participated in a public meeting at Town Hall.


Speaking on the meeting, CPM state secretary K Balakrishnan mentioned, “The election isn't just going to bring a change on the centre but also in the state.
