Mumbai cops hunt for woman who kidnapped baby


MUMBAI: A woman in her thirties is on the run after kidnapping a two-month-old baby boy from CSMT just lately. The GRP have registered a case of kidnapping and are on the lookout for the girl.


The incident used to be reported on March 29. The baby boy used to be asleep together with his mother, Sunita Saund, at platform no. eight. Saund, estranged from her husband, lives on the pavement and does abnormal jobs. For three to 4 days previous to the abduction, Saund had began napping at CSMT together with her baby. The accused, identified as Ganga Suresh, began coming over to CSMT round the similar time to sleep. She spoke to §aund and the other people who slept there however didn't provide her identification.


Around 7 am on March 29, Ganga picked up Saund's baby when she used to be asleep and walked away. After Saund aroused from sleep, she could not find her kid and approached the police officers. The police went thru CCTV pictures of the station and spotted a woman with a toddler board a 7.20pm Asangaon-bound local. She got off at Mulund station and walked out of the station. The GRP checked CCTVs outdoor the station and noticed her walking away. The police has sought the aid of the public to trace down the kidnapper.
