Monsoon likely to be below normal this year: Skymet


NEW DELHI: Monsoon rains is also "below normal" this year, Skymet, a personal climate forecasting company, stated on Wednesday.

The monsoon may be 93 according to cent of the lengthy period reasonable (LPA), it stated.


Anything between 90-95 according to cent of LPA falls below the "below normal" category.


LPA is the typical of rainfall between 1951 and 2000, which is 89 cm.


Skymet CEO Jatin Singh attributed the El Nino phenomenon as the explanation in the back of a possible underneath customary rainfall.
