Man held after death of elder brother

KOLKATA: A 60-year-old man, who was running as the executive pumpman of Jadavpur University, died under mysterious instances on Sunday night time. The victim — Jhumu Chatterjee (60) — was allegedly driven to the bottom by his brother Alok Chatterjee (57), and then the former lost his senses. He was rushed to MR Bangur Hospital the place he was declared brought dead. The incident was reported at Khitish Chatterjee Lane in Jadavpur, said police.

“The two brothers were serious about a belongings dispute. The duo had a combat and got here to blows. Alok then allegedly driven the victim, who was already suffering from quite a lot of diseases like sugar and prime force. Based at the criticism of the victim’s son with the Jadavpur police, the law enforcement officials have registered a case of culpable homicide no longer amounting to homicide and arrested Alok,” said an investigating officer. Police said that they'd look ahead to the post-mortem document to determine the next plan of action.
