Ludhiana: Betting racket busted, seven held

JALANDHAR: Jalandhar Commissionerate Police on Monday busted IPL cricket having a bet racket and arrested seven individuals and 18 cell phones fitted in two briefcases have also been recovered from them.

Commissioner of Police Gurpreet Singh Bhullar said that racket, busted on after receiving a tip off, used to be being operated through Mukesh Kumar alias Sethi, resident of Krishna Nagar, along side others. He said that they had registered themselves with a UK based company where having a bet used to be criminal through paying Rs 10000 in January this yr and downloaded a cell utility bettingassistantibook.

Mukesh is a automobile broker and has links with Delhi based individuals, Bhullar said. He said that chargers, two laptops, two mikes, speakers and two cars and Rs 23000 cash had been recovered from them.
