Gzb: Bail for man accused of molesting US scribe


GHAZIABAD: The 31-year-old non-public company worker arrested for allegedly molesting a US-based journalist in Indirapuram used to be granted bail by means of a local court docket on Monday.

Nishant Kaushik, who allegedly followed the lady in his automobile in Indirapuram for round 50 minutes, passed lewd feedback and touched her inappropriately ultimate Friday, has been requested not to go away the country and cooperate in the police investigation. Meanwhile, taking cognisance of reports on the alleged molestation, the National Women’s Commission on Tuesday wrote to SSP Upendra Kumar Agrawal and advised him to take “strict” and “speedy action” towards the accused. Women’s fee member Kamlesh Gautam informed the SSP the fee used to be “seriously involved” about the security and safety of ladies from overseas countries.


“Considering the gravity of the matter, it is requested that a detailed action-taken record in the matter be despatched to the fee by means of email or fax,” she wrote.


Nishant, who used to be arrested on Friday night after being stuck by means of guards of the housing society where the lady remains, has been slapped charges below IPC sections 354 D (assault or legal force to girl with intent to outrage her modesty) and 509 (word, gesture or act meant to insult the modesty of a girl).
