Fake job racket busted, five held


Nagpur: Ganeshpeth police have busted a pretend job racket arresting 5 persons accused of duping around 25 to 30 aspirants of crores of rupees since 2014. The accused had promised to supply executive jobs to the aspirants and provided them pretend joining letters after accepting money.
The accused are identified as Nikita Meshram, her husband Sumit, Pranay Jawse, Roshan Nagrale and Vidyasagar Raut, all from Nagpur. Puja Deshmukh, hailing from Uttar Pradesh, has also been arrested. It may be learnt that the racket used to be also operating in other states corresponding to Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.

Ganeshpeth police had registered a case of fraud following a compliant from Nikhil Thakre, who used to be duped through Nikita and Sumit of Rs11 lakh. The accused had through promised the victim a role at a government establishment.

It is learnt that the accused used to vow jobs to aspirants at renowned executive institutions corresponding to railways, food corporation of India, post place of work and well being division.


While investigating the case, police learnt that Nikita and Sumit used to run a role consultancy situated in Dharampeth space. The couple had lured the job aspirants through showing pretend identity playing cards of ministry of labour and ministry of house affairs, claiming they have got influence and can provide jobs to aspirants.


The couple then used to send the aspirants to Puja in Delhi for accomplishing pretend clinical exam and training. The accused had also given pretend certificates to the scholars. Pranay used to supply ‘shoppers’ to Nikita and Sumit through earning fee in the procedure. The other two accused also worked on fee basis.


Police procured the accused before court docket and they have got been sent to judicial custody. Senior PI of Ganeshpeth police station Sunil Gangurde stated, “The fraud is value in crores as now we have discovered several victims of the accused. The investigation will expose more instances.”
