Delhi cops arrest drug supplier from Bareilly

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a 31-year-old alleged drug supplier from Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh who used to be sporting a praise of Rs 50,000, officials stated on Saturday.

The accused has been identified as Rashid Khan, a resident of Bareilly, they stated.

On March 28, 2016, police arrested one Ajay Kumar and Parveen Kumar, individuals of a drug syndicate from Moti Nagar and recovered an enormous consignment of narcotics, Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, deputy commissioner of police (Special Cell) stated.

During investigation, it used to be additionally revealed that Ajay and Parveen used to procure the medicine from Khan primarily based in Bareilly, Yadav stated. He stated a police team rushed to Bareilly in line with a tip-off about Khan.

On Tuesday, police were informed that Khan would come to his village Behra in Bareilly on Wednesday, the DCP stated.

Subsequently, a raid used to be performed at Behra village and Khan used to be held, police stated.

During interrogation, Khan stated he have been working the drug syndicate for the ultimate three to 4 years and used to supply more than a few narcotics to Delhi and other states, they added.
