Cops act on girl’s distress call, get thrashed by father

GURUGRAM: A police team, which went to a village in Farrukhnagar to attend a misery name made by means of a lady at the women’s helpline (1091), was once attacked by means of her father, and law enforcement officials had been left with bruises, torn uniform and a broken PCR van.

The crime took place round 9.30am in Sultanpur village. Head constable Deepak Kumar, constables Manoj and Sunil, and SPO Yashvir had been on PCR responsibility and stationed near Farrukhnagar bus stand, once they won an alert to succeed in Sultanpur village as a teen had known as up the women’s helpline to inform that her father was once thrashing her mom and her.

“We got a choice from the police station informing us that a lady, who identified herself as Komal, had known as 1091 accusing her father of torturing them,” head constable Deepak Kumar stated.

As the team reached the house and started talking to Komal and her mom, the accused — Vikram Singh — who was once not at house, arrived there with an awl and started assaulting the policemen.

“Vikram charged against Manoj, who was once standing near the PCR. As Manoj ducked on time, the awl hit the windowpane and shattered the glass,” Kumar stated.

Vikram, allegedly, didn’t prevent at that. He tore off Manoj’s uniform, slapped SPO Yashvir and attacked Sunil. As locals collected near the house, Vikram fled from the spot. An FIR was once registered in opposition to Vikram beneath sections 307 (attempt to murder), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public function), 332 (voluntarily causing harm to deter public servant from his responsibility), 353 (assault or felony drive to deter public servant) of the IPC at Farrukhnagar police station and he was once later arrested.

“Vikram has been arrested and the awl was once recovered from his ownership. He might be produced in a city court on Friday,” stated inspector Krishan Kant Rohilla, SHO of Farrukhnagar police station.
