CBI ordered to give case papers to Najeeb’s mom


NEW DELHI: A Delhi courtroom on Monday directed the CBI to give copies of all the statements and documents related to the closure file of probe into lacking JNU student Najeeb Ahmed’s case to his mother inside of two weeks.

Chief metropolitan Justice of the Peace Naveen Kumar Kashyap directed the company to supply hard or comfortable copies of the documents.


“There can't be a half-hearted method. In truth, an efficient alternative will have to be given to the complainant to report a protest petition.... Whole of the cancellation file in conjunction with the commentary of witnesses and documents, that are phase and parcel of the present cancellation file, have to be provided to the complainant,” the courtroom said. It additionally directed the IO to look in person at the next date of listening to.


The legislation is settled that in case of a closure file, complainant is to be given alternative to report a protest petition, if that is so desired, the courtroom said. “In the existing case, it's clear that the complainant wants to report a protest petition,” it added.
