BJP Noida chief booked for model code violations


NOIDA: BJP’s Noida city president Rakesh Sharma has been booked for violation of style code of behavior (MCC). Sector 20 police have filed a non-cognizable document (NCR) in opposition to Sharma for allegedly pasting birthday celebration posters and writing slogans on partitions around the city with out prior permission from the Election Commission, officials said.


Deputy election officer (DEO) Munendra Upadhyay told NewsTread on Friday that the NCR used to be lodged on Thursday as in line with the instructions of the Election Commission, after the violations have been noticed by means of polling officials on April 3.
