AAP Ludh Urban president quits party


Ludhiana: In a jolt to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) forward of Lok Sabha elections, its district president for Ludhiana (Urban) Daljeet Singh Grewal (Bhola) resigned from the party on Friday evening. In the resignation letter despatched to AAP Punjab president Bhagwant Mann, and forwarded to mediapersons, Bhola said he had resigned from all designations, submit and positions, together with as president Ludhiana Urban and in-charge of Ludhiana East meeting constituency. Bhola said he did not wish to proceed with the party, or even resigned from the party’s initial membership.

Talking to The Times of India, Bhola said he considered AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal a very fair person, but the the different line the party took on the factor of corruption, and their openness to forming alliances with other events prompt that many compromises were now being made. Bhola said his pals had told him that for the past 12 years, they made him combat five elections, and so far they had agreed with his decisions, but now they might make their very own. Asked about speculations that he was once joining the Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD), he said his pals would take decisions from now, and whatever they decided could be appropriate to him.
