A bus for snacks lovers in Ooty

Udhagamandalam: Ooty has finally got a ‘Route Master’, however with a culinary twist. The car designed consistent with the antique bus from London will serve yummy, crispy snacks to vacationers.
Conceptualized and designed through two enthusiastic ladies entrepreneurs, the ‘Food Bus’, a first-of-its-kind within the town, has been parked inside the Research Centre for Tribal Culture (RCTC) on the Garden Road. According to the owners, this is a snack point for vacationers.

Nagina Reddy, one of the crucial companions says, “We sought after to provide hygienic snack to vacationers in a singular manner. While we have been discussing and searching for concepts, London’s Route Master car attracted us, hence we determined to move ahead with it. In a way, it connects us again to the British legacy.”

About the bus, the ladies say it was made in Ahmedabad and drew inspiration from 1967 style of the Route Master- A trolley bus. A place of about 600 sq. ft was taken on condo foundation in RCTC complex to park the Food Bus.

Ask in regards to the menu, Rama Sasmal, another partner says, “We have items from quite a lot of cuisines. Desi fried rooster, apple fritter, corn and potato croquettes best the list and bunny chow, a South African dish is our uniqueness.”

According to Nagina, the entire sauces used for the menu are homemade and buns are made on special order and healthy.
