3 held for hammering man to death in Nippani


BELAGAVI: Three persons had been arrested in connection to the homicide of a person on outskirts of Nippani town on Sunday. Police have additionally seized a automobile, a hammer, a bike and a scooter used within the crime along with 50 grams of gold from the accused.
The arrested are - Satish Shahaji Ksheersagar, 19, Sourab Ajit Athani, 19 and Ravi Iranna Shiragavi, 21, all from Nippani. They had been accused of killing Arvind Gourishankar Pole, 39, of Nippani. Police produced the arrested ahead of a courtroom on Tuesday.

Robbers held


Railway police have arrested a due for robbing a railway employee at the Belagavi railway station within the early hours of Tuesday. Utkarsh Sunil Varma, 20 of Konwal Galli and Girish Suresh Nayal, 23 of Camp had attacked railway employee Shiv Sangappa Nayak at 2.30am on Tuesday and made away with his wallet and mobile phone. Police arrested the accused from Shastri Nagar and recovered the booty. The accused had been sent for judicial custody after producing ahead of courtroom.
