Youth tries to rob jewellery shop, thrashed


CHANDIGARH: People stuck a 19-year-old youth when he was once allegedly trying to rob a jewellery shop at Manimajra and passed him over to police after a legitimate thrashing on Friday.


Nancy Sharma, owner of Jai Durga jewellers, stated she was once sitting in her shop around 2 pm when the accused known as Rajesh Kumar of Manimajra walked in and demanded to see gold chains and a hoop. After settling on a few articles, he informed her to pack them. He then stepped out, appearing as he was once going to carry money. He returned with his face lined and attacked Nancy with a sharp-edged weapon. She ran out of the shop and raised the alarm. Passersby chased and stuck the accused.


Nancy gained accidents on her face and neck. Police stated the robbery bid was once stuck on a CCTV camera of the shop. Police stated the accused is a drug addict.
