Vijayakanth’s mannerless behaviour towards Jayalalithaa reason for DMDK’s fall: AIADMK MLA

COIMBATORE: The reason why for DMDK's fall used to be Vijayakanth's mannerless behaviour at the state assembly, when he thrust his tongue out at former leader minister J Jayalalithaa, said Sulur MLA R Kanagaraj on Saturday.

He used to be responding to a question on Premalatha Vijayakanth’s observation that Vijayakanth had stood up against Jayalalithaa within the state assembly regardless of having been allies. He said it used to be Jayalalithaa who made DMDK the opposition birthday party. DMDK would be sure that 500 to 1,000 extra votes and it would receive advantages the AIADMK alliance, he said. He used to be chatting with newshounds after participating in an event to lay basis stone for Smart City tasks within the city.

When asked about Premalatha Vijayakanth’s comment that there used to be no get advantages for the state from 37 AIADMK MPs, Kanagaraj answered that it used to be Premalatha’s private opinion.

Kanagaraj said he hoped DMDK would sign up for AIADMK alliance. “The state is looking at DMDK nowadays. The birthday party has been speaking various things somewhere else. It is a big mistake to carry alliance talks with two parties at the same time. There are chances for DMDK to sign up for AIADMK alliance. If they arrive we would include them within the alliance,” he said.

He said DMDK’s presence within the alliance would be sure that 500 or 1,000 extra votes and it would receive advantages the alliance. “When parties include in MDMK which had 500 votes, in their alliance, AIADMK could include DMDK which has 1,000 votes,” said Kanagaraj.
