TSPC rebels nabbed in Chatra


RANCHI: State police and CRPF nabbed Tritya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) sub-zonal commander Kabir Ganjhu and one in all his accomplices all over a joint operation at Bongagadha village under Tandwa police station area in Chatra on Friday. Kabir used to be wearing a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head.


Police seized a large cache of hands and ammunitions, including two self-loading rifles, an AK-47, an AK-56, three US Springfield semi-automatic rifles, around 1,051 cartridges, seven ammunition pouches, nine magazines and a number of other chargers from the ownership of the rebels.


Chatra SP Akhilesh B Verior said police received a tip off on Kabir’s presence in Bongagadha. “A team used to be sent to the world to make sure the tips and take essential motion. They arrested the TSPC sub-zonal commander in conjunction with his associate, Gendlal Ganjhu, after a chase,” the SP said.


Police said Kabir had change into a synonym of terror in Simaria, Tandwa, Lawalong and Pathalgada spaces of Chatra district and Barkagoan, Keredari, Katkamdaag and Katkamsandi spaces of Hazaribag district.
