Terror suspect held in Bihar ahead of PM's rally


PATNA: A person suspected of alleged hyperlinks with the terror outfit involved in the Pulwama assault used to be arrested from a village in Banka district on Saturday, an afternoon ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Sankalp rally in Patna.


Director General of Police Gupteshwar Pandey mentioned the police have been taking a look into the alleged hyperlinks between the arrested guy, identified as Rehan, and the Jaish-e-Mohammed, the Pakistan-based terror outfit that claimed accountability for the Pulwama assault by which 40 CRPF troopers have been killed on February 14.


Banka Superintendent of Police Swapna T Meshram mentioned a police team arrested Rehan from Belari village beneath the Shambhuganj police station area. Another suspect escaped, he mentioned.


The police are wondering Rehan to get more information.
