Saudi junior foreign minister to visit India on Monday


NEW DELHI: Saudi state minister for international affairs Adel al-Jubeir will talk over with India on Monday, days after his commute to Islamabad. External affairs ministry spokesperson Raveesh Kumar stated Jubeir will hang talks with external affairs minister Sushma Swaraj during his commute.

The Saudi minister met Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday in Islamabad, and delivered a "special message" from Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, in keeping with Pakistani media reports.

His talk over with to Islamabad took place amid world efforts to de-escalate tension between India and Pakistan brought about by the Pulwama assault and next aerial strike by India on a training camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terror outfit in Balakot on February 26.


Pakistan retaliated the strike subsequent day by unsuccessfully making an attempt to focus on Indian military installations. The JeM claimed accountability for the Pulwama assault.


In Pakistan, Jubeir additionally held talks with Pakistan international minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi.


Countries like the USA, the UK, China, Saudi Arabia and the UAE had been thinking about easing tensions between India and Pakistan.


Jubeir's talk over with comes after the Crown Prince's stand-alone visits to India and Pakistan soon after the Pulwama terror assault.
