Police nab ‘test drive’ thief, recover 2 cars


HYDERABAD: Next time you give your second-hand car for a test force to the consumer, think carefully. A 21-year-old personal driving force was nabbed via Cyberabad police once they found that he had stolen secondhand car from individuals who had posted an commercial on OLX to promote it. The accused, on the pretence of taking the car for a test force, would take the car and get away with it.


The accused, G Nagesh, a resident of Kothapalli area, was interested by a number of such circumstances. He stole two Bajaj Pulsar motorcycles and one Swift Dzire car, except for a minimum of four smartphones.


“The accused would scan commercials on OLX and call the car owners expressing passion in taking the car for a test force. In October remaining 12 months, he stole a bike and on March five this 12 months, he stole some other motorcycle,” mentioned Shadnagar inspector, A Sreedhar Kumar.


Similarly, Nagesh had additionally stolen a minimum of four secondhand smartphones. During interrogation, police found that he’d offered all four phones and had already spent the cash.


After receiving a number of proceedings, police identified the accused through CCTV photos and nabbed him on Saturday at Keshampeta area. Police have seized two motorcycles and a car and booked him for theft and dishonest.
