Mumbai: Bizman hurls abuses at judge, arrested

MUMBAI: A businessman has been arrested for allegedly abusing and perilous a metropolitan Justice of the Peace after barging into his cabin on Wednesday. The accused, Navin Naik (40), who was once in a dispute along with his client, allegedly committed the offence on studying that the court had approved a police probe document that a cheating case he had filed at police station is civil in nature and now not a felony case.

On Wednesday night, Naik had walked into the Andheri metropolitan Justice of the Peace's court to test the status of his case that were filed towards his client over some dispute. "Naik violated the court's decorum. He barged into the magistrate's room," mentioned a police officer. "He argued with a police constable on security duty outside the room. When the cop tried to stopped him, Naik pushed him. He hurled abuses and threatened the magistrate."

Senior inspector of Andheri police station, Lalasaheb Shetye, showed the arrest, however declined to expose details of the case.

A complaint filed via constable Vijay Shirke mentioned: "A man barged into the magistrate room, threatened and questioned why no action initiated in his case..."

Naik can be in police custody till March 16.
