Isro partners with IIT-Roorkee to set up space tech cell


CHENNAI: Indian Institute of Technology - Roorkee along with the Indian Space Research Organisation will arrange an ISRO-IITR Space Technology Cell (STC) on the IIT-Roorkee campus to broaden complicated applied sciences that can fulfil the calls for of the Indian area programme through industry-academia collaboration.

The academic establishment signed an MoU with the distance company to that impact on Friday.

The actions of STC can be directed to maximize the use of the analysis possible, infrastructure, expertise and experience of both Isro and IIT-Roorkee.


STC will have college members, visiting scientists and professionals and analysis body of workers undertaking state of the art analysis and development. IITR will provide the required infrastructure, administrative and different make stronger.


IIT-Roorkee director Ajit K Chaturvedi mentioned; “Association with Isro in the form of a Space Technology Cell is a very powerful milestone for our institute. We are overjoyed to collaborate with Isro and give a contribution to the celebrated area program of our nation.”
