Fire in IOC refinery in Panipat kills one

CHANDIGARH: A worker was once killed and two others sustained serious burns following a significant fire at the Indian Oil Corp's Panipat refinery in Haryana, police stated on Sunday.

The fire started on Saturday night. Fire tenders have been rushed to keep watch over the flames within the refinery belonging to the Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL).

The 22-year-old victim, Mohan Lal, who hailed from Sonipat district and was once engaged by means of a contractor of the refinery, was once trapped within the vacuum distillation unit.
