Congressmen cheer as Sumalatha Ambareesh hits campaign trail in Mysuru district


MYSURU: An afternoon after JD(S) candidate in Mandya constituency Nikhil Kumaraswamy campaigned in Okay R Nagar in Mysuru district, actor Sumalatha Ambareesh and her son Abhishek visited the taluk on Saturday. “I will announce the date of filing the nominations papers on March 18,” she said.


Reacting on Nikhil, Abhishek said each are just right buddies. “Even even though we are contesting opposite to one another, it will no longer affect our friendship. Our friendship will proceed,” he said.


Later Sumalatha and Abhishek campaigned in Chunchanakatte Mirle village and visited the famous Hindu pilgrim centres Sri Keshtra Kappadi, Rama Mandira and Hunasamma Temple in the taluk and offered particular prayers.


Meanwhile, KR Nagar block Congress president Subramanya said that they are going to campaign for Sumalatha in the election and don't seem to be fearful of birthday celebration postponing them. “I reinforce Sumalatha and I don’t care about the coalition seat sharing components. Sumalatha is the best candidate to turn out to be MP. We are glad that we are supporting a just right candidate. So we don't seem to be afraid.
