CBSE Board exam 2019: Out of syllabus questions in class 10 Kannada exam worries students

BENGALURU: Thousands of class 10 CBSE students who wrote 2nd language Kannada paper on Saturday had been in for a shock as minimal 22 marks questions had been out of syllabus.

The paper for total 80 marks, had contained questions from three-year-old syllabus and had a mix of questions from previous syllabus and new syllabus, even because the syllabus was modified two years in the past.

While some of the academics stated that the out of syllabus questions totalled to 26.5 marks, some faculties stated that it was 22 marks. The exact marks that was out of the syllabus can be transparent only after CBSE issues a explanation.

After the examination was over, several students took to twitter to bitch in regards to the out of syllabus questions.

Speaking to TOI, a pupil stated it was a shocker to look questions that had been never discussed in class. “We raised objection all the way through the studying time between 10.15 to 10.30 am itself. The invigilators stated that we write the question number and depart clean so that we might be given grace marks,” stated the student.

“It was chaotic when the question paper was allotted. Students right away noticed that there was an issue. We wish to speak to the CBSE board and award the grace marks or moot for re examination. CBSE will have to be lenient in awarding the grace marks,” stated M Srinivasan, President, CBSE Independent Schools association in Karnataka. He additional added that such aberration to the track of more than 22 marks was never noticed sooner than.

The Saturday examination has led to lot of stress amongst youngsters and it will have an effect on their performances in other assessments too, stated a parent from JP Nagar whose daughter returned house disenchanted after writing the Kannada paper. “It’s stunning, how can the board pass faulty? It’s only adding to the stress of the children,” she added.
