Ahmedabad: 10 held at con call centre

AHMEDABAD: Navrangpura police on Saturday busted a ‘con name centre’ running out of Shalvik Complex and arrested ten individuals. However, the high accused, Abhijit Bhonsle (38), a resident of Royal Orchid on Corporate Road in Prahladnagar and Divyesh Bhatt (29), a resident of Karnavati Apartments in Bapunagar, are absconding. Bhonsle’s title has cropped up in different offences on the subject of name centres and he's believed to have slipped out of the country. Police officials mentioned they received intelligence that an entity named Alfa Tiz Inc had employed several youths to name US voters and offer them loans.

“They would name Americans who had implemented for loans but had been rejected. They would make them pay money on more than a few pretexts, equivalent to ‘file charges’ among others. They would also promote such information of US voters to others to make a snappy greenback,” mentioned a police legitimate.
