4 injured as furnace bursts in steel factory


Ludhiana: Four staff, including a lady, had been injured after a furnace burst in a metal factory at Jeevan Nagar Chowk of Focal Point Friday afternoon.
As many as 100 different staff had a slender escape as part of the factory collapsed following the explosion at 2pm.

The injured — Suraj Singh, Rohini, Sachin, Naresh — are undergoing treatment at a private hospital.

Suraj, who has suffered burns on face, legs and arms, stated, “I paintings in a different department. As the supervisor who turns at the furnace was on depart, I used to be requested to begin it around 9am. Five hours later, it exploded.”

Another injured Naresh stated, “At the time of the incident, at least 100 males had been operating within the factory.”


Despite repeated makes an attempt, the factory proprietor, Baljeet Singh, may just no longer be contacted.


An house resident stated the loud and strong blast shook the nearby buildings.


Focal Point police station SHO Govinder Kumar stated, “We are but to determine what brought about the blast. The 4 injured are below treatment.”
