2 men held as cops bust casino, granted bail


GURUGRAM: Two men had been arrested after a on line casino was busted on Wednesday evening, police said on Thursday. The two youths had put in gambling machines and tables across a room.

The arrested accused had been known as Tahir and Irfan from Faizabad in UP. They had been dwelling in a slum close to Basai chowk in Gurugram. Following the raid, the police recoved a gambling gadget and Rs 9,620 price of cash from their ownership.


According to the police, the 2 men had transformed a room subsequent to a vegetable market in the house into a on line casino and put in machines and tables. Acting on a tip-off, a team headed by head constable Bhupender carried out the raid in the on line casino. While different occupants of the room managed to escape, the police officers arrested the duo who was allegedly working the on line casino without any permission.


An FIR was registered at Pataudi police station. The accused had been then produced in a city court from where they had been granted bail.


“We busted the illegal on line casino but the accused had been released on bail from the court,” said inspector Suresh Kumar, SHO of Pataudi police station.
