Workshop on e-janma software gets under way at ZP


Mangaluru: A two-day workshop on laws and laws governing e-janma software below the aegis of chief registrar of births and deaths, executive of Karnataka, got below manner at Nethravathi meeting hall of Dakshina Kannada (DK) zilla panchayat on Wednesday. The e-janma software has been carried out in rural areas of the district from April 1, 2015, and in urban areas from June 1, 2017. Village accountants are birth and loss of life registration officials.

Government clinical officials are designated deputy birth and loss of life registration officials. There are a complete 436 birth and loss of life registration centres in DK district, including 368 registration centres in rural areas and 68 sub-registration centres in executive hospitals. In urban areas, there are 24 such registration centres including 9 birth registration centres and 15 sub-registration centres in executive hospitals.


With lend a hand of this software, uniformity of process is adopted in registration of births and deaths in the 456 birth and loss of life registration centres in the district. This registration may be done in 17 nada kacheris, Mangaluru City Corporation, town municipal council, the town municipal council and the town panchayat workplaces dotting the district and executive hospitals below these urban local our bodies, a verbal exchange from the district statistical officer, stated.


The software helps with periodic updation of births and deaths in every earnings district in the state, and in addition helps government arrive at the intercourse ration in the district.
