Woman driven out of house for being infertile


AURANGABAD: A health club teacher, who in conjunction with his members of the family allegedly drove his wife out of the home for being infertile, was once booked via the police.
The girl (34), who hails from Kalyan in Mubai, was once married to the health club teacher from Satara area in 2011.

Things have been cordial between the couple earlier than her medical conditions surfaced.

The girl reached out to the girl grievance redressal department of the police. When the family members between the girl and her in-laws failed to change for the easier even after several rounds of counselling, the matter was once referred to the area police station for beginning suitable felony action in response to the grievance lodged via the girl.

The complainant stated that her in-laws, including her husband, had been harassing her mentally and physically for the previous few years for failing to conceive. Apart from referring to her as 'infertile', she has also been subjected to domestic violence over petty issues in the home.


The girl further alleged that while claiming that her father had did not pay the dowry, her in-laws demanded for a few lakhs for beginning a recent health club. "Mental and physical torture reached a new high after failing to bring money from her parents," stated the grievance.


Satara area police have booked six members of the family, including three women, on the fees of domestic violence, voluntarily inflicting harm, intentional insult to provoke an individual and cause breach of peace, and criminal intimidation.


Investigation officer and assistant sub-inspector S A Chavan said that the suspects had been summoned for recording their statements, following which a decision can be taken whether to arrest them or now not. adding that the health club teacher and his members of the family have claimed that recently they have been out of the town.
