UP Board: 6000 dip in number of examinees

LUCKNOW: There has been a drop in the choice of examinees for the second consecutive 12 months in the town appearing for the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board examinations which start on Thursday.

Around one lakh scholars - 6,000 lower than remaining 12 months — will seem in the examinations. While 55,801scholars will write Class X checks, 44,666 will seem in Class XII papers.

A total of 1.12 lakh scholars seemed in UP Board examinations in 2017. The figure went down to 1.06 lakh in 2018. “The choice of enrollment has long past down at sensitive centres like Maal and Malihabad where mass copying had been reported up to now,” said district inspector of all faculties (DIOS) Mukesh Kumar Singh.

He said handiest exam centres which met all of the mandatory rules like installation of CCTV cameras with voice recorders, correct boundary walls and others got the duty to habits the examinations. Hence, the choice of centres has also come down from 136 to 115 this 12 months. There are 56 sensitive centres in the town, of which 14 were classified as ‘highly sensitive’ where strict vigil might be stored until the belief of UP Board checks on March 2.
