Stating this, DLSA secretary-cum-chief judicial magistrate, Panchkula, Vivek Goyal stated that from February 6 onwards they have started video conferencing facility for interplay of under trials with their prison assist advocates.

Goyal added that throughout visits to Ambala Central Jail, they came to grasp that a consistent grievance of the prison inmates was that they were given no right kind time to engage with their prison assist counsels. "It is also observed that sometimes the advocates also feel the need to discuss the cases with the prisoners facing legal proceedings, but since the under trials prisoners of Panchkula district are lodged in Ambala Central Jail, even legal aid counsels face difficulty in getting proper information about the case from them,"' Goyal stated.
